Anthony Craig began his winemaking career in January of 1991 at a small local winery in the Santa Cruz Mountains, approximately 60 miles south of San Francisco and only a few miles from the heart of Silicon Valley, San Jose. Originally an actor from Northern England, he found himself in Northern California while taking a break from the hurly burly of Los Angeles.
While working at David Bruce Winery, he discovered a deep desire to learn more about fine wine. Twelve years later, he left to embark on his own wine adventure, and called it Sonnet Wine Cellars. Initially he focused on single vineyard designate pinot noirs, but now also makes Tempranillo and Chardonnay.
