TASTING NOTES

This wine is a testament to the cool climate of the Santa Lucia Highlands. It shows what can happen when a Pinot vineyard is planted in the correct location. It has the typical spiciness of the Highlands appellation, coupled with a fantastic depth of tart red cherry fruit. The tight grain of the Hungarian oak allows only a subtle hint of oak flavours that support rather than dominate the fruit. The palate is well structured, with plenty of colour and smooth tannins to ensure ageability.
